For big wire like 4awg and up, a soldering gun or a torch work the best. An iron just doesn't get hot enough to be effective with wire that size.Is that a sautering gun, or iron?

Strip wire, place terminal lug on wire, crimp, heat up lug at the top, let solder pool on top of the wire until you see it get drawn down into the wire/lug connection, then pool it back up on top.
