Creating a decent sound stage

Im thinking about getting some qlogic kick panels for my trailblazer since I dont want to have any fitment issues in my doors and I was wondering if the Infinity perfect 6.1's were still relevant. If I get some kickpanels for the floor what kind of speakers should I get for the front and rear doors?

nothing for the front doors unless you have processing for time alignment and plan on doing a 3-way.

nothing for rear doors unless it's a midrange and your head unit has processing and you can run an active bandpass filter.

make sure the Q-logic are just a cosmetic start. they are flimsy and don't seal so you won't get decent sound without some modifications. good speaker locations are built like good speaker boxes - rigid and airtight.

a good sound stage is heavily dependent on speaker aiming. the Q-logic works in some cars but not others. every car is a unique acoustic challenge.

a good sound stage is developed with tuning and tweaking. it's not an out-of-the-box thing. you need to plan for it and have a basic understanding of how we localize sounds.

i'm hoping people choose to catch up and learn something new. i wish i had someone talking over my head 15 years ago.

everything i post is off the top of my head (unless it's product specific and i've looked up the manual). but since we're already online, people can look up stuff they want more info on, or just ask me to explain.

I am really interested in some 3-ways. Has anyone heard the Focal 165 VR3's? I have an aq90x4 so that should be enough to power them. And then find some decent midranges for the rear doors?
