Yes. White/Blue to Blue. That is the remote connection.

Nope...my HU still turns on...

If the remote wire grounds out while the HU is on, you can fry the remote output, even though the rest of the head unit still works.

This is why many people suggest you install a 1/2 amp inline fuse between the HU remote wire and the wire to the amp. To protect the HU.

i thought it was a thread to post pics of crappy installs which is why i posted my pic. and to the guy that said i have a cap its not a cap, thats my distro

Put the remote on the power....Just disconnect it every time you park, or make a long ass remote & put a toggle twitch on it.
