Craigslist ad....scam?

***CLiff Notes: saw a car on CL and emailed my interest...got an email back about doing the deal through ebay using their vehicle purchase protection program. I have an ebay account and have never purchased a car this way so seemed a little odd...anybody vouch for this process? and obviously not doing anything till i see the car with my own 2 eyes...Is this legit? what i was emailed below:

I really appreciate that you've contacted me regarding my 2001 Lexus IS 300.I'm trying to sell this car because of my helplessness.About 3 months ago I suffered an accident at work and I lost the most valuable thing...I'm now into a wheelchair and I will never drive.This car has only 70,000 miles, automatic *****.,Sedan,gasoline,6-cyl.It is in perfect condition, there's not even a scratch or any dents on it. Everything from the motor to the tires and mirrors is shining and looking brand new. I

have a clear title for it, no liens or loans.Bottom line is a beauty.I've posted the car on many other sites like eBay,Autotrader,CraigsList,Oodle so please let me know where you seen my post.Also the last price is $xxxx and I think it's a fair price!I will choose to the vehicle through the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection Program.I need a new buyer to register to my eBay transaction.With this program we will be both protected and the buyer will have 10 days inspection period with my car with no other obligations or extra fees.

If you wish to purchase it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay. Then eBay will contact you with all necessary information and instructions.

Why can't you just go look at it in PERSON, decide if you want it, buy it, and drive it home? Why do you have to go threw ebay? Is he shipping the car? You're going to have to drive it home right? PAY IN PERSON

The seller will have an excuse why you can't come in person and pay in cash. I love fukn with these tards on C'list, usually lead them on like i'm gonna do the ebay thing for a few days. Then tell them i'll just come and pick it up........................they won't do it, lol.

No freaking way I'd buy anything worth over 20$ from someone who couldn't communicate in English. Even the non-native English speaking people I do business with can at least write reasonably well and use punctuation and such.

Protip: Everyone on Craigslist who can't wrap their brain around composing a coherent sentence is either a scammer or enough of a dipshit that you don't want the hassle of dealing with them.
