Purchased atoto s8
Installing it into a jeep grand cherokee 2000 limited
It has Infinity sound with an amplifier. https://wjbible.com/radios.html
-Premium Sound Infinity system(Radio unit with external amplifier and six Infinity 4-ohm speakers)
I got the metria install harness. https://pdf.crutchfieldonline.com/ImageBank/v20201125154200/Manuals/120/120701817.PDF

I plugged in the ignition, constant, and ground . The unit powers on. When I plug in the remote power blue cable, I get crackling noise coming from the speakers.

So then I thought it might be the harness. So I bypassed the harness and tapped straight in behind the jeep factory harness.
No change, I still get the same crackling when plugging in the remote power wire.

The crackling noise does not happen with the factory head unit. Everything works fine with the factory head unit.
Any ideas on how to get rid of the crackling noise?

I would also check the ground wire as well for the external amplifier. you made need to add a solid ground there as well. Make sure that the remote wire is connected solid and secure would be a couple other things to be considered.

I have ran in the past with a set of speakers that were grounding on the doors with the speaker post. I simply took them out and ran electrical tape around the back side of the speakers to cover the post connections and had no further issues. That was in my old Acura 93 Integra

Does this harness have anything resembling an LOC? If not, I would guess that is the issue. I would test an inline passive LOC.

You just found your own solution. Move the DSP elsewhere. The RCA is triple protected but not the RCA plugs. I do not know if there is a mesh or...
