Cracked Type-R

Hey. I recently got my new 15" Type R in the mail. The sub looks good overall but when i flipped it over, i noticed something.

The magnet cover, or whatever you would like to call it, has a decent sized crack in it.

I was told by one person that it would not affect the performance to any degree of this sub. I just wanted some more opinions on this, or if you know that something could go wrong. Thanks and any help is appreciated.

Depends, if thats only a cover then no.

If its the backplate of the motor then yes.

if it's plastic thats cracked it won't effect it.. if it's metal of the backplate it'll effect it.

Its the metal cover on the back of the motor, it just channels the air from the pole vent out to the sides.

So no, it wont effect the performance.
