couple tc subs id like to share

I traded Chad a 3K so you may have had mine, I don't know what Chad did with the one I sent him.

I sent it to him in a Konaki 15 box if thats any clue. I traded your Kx for a 360 Levon, now, traded the 10's for a solo X 12 that I am trading for a Wii for my daughters.

Once the solo X is gone, I will be officially done with car audio. But, now I am wanting to buy tc3k101's 3K 12" , the itch is returning //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I just told my wife yesterday that I was done with the whole car audio thing, she said "Thank god, now can you sell some of those guns so I can pay down the credit card bill"

Whatever lady //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

He sent it to me, with the Konaki 15 box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Lol, sell the guns...never!

How does the 12-spoke basket limit excursion to 28mm when I own subs with 12-spoke baskets and 32mm xmax? RE XXX.

Any evidence that these neo motors are "6x the strength" of the normal 3hp counterpart? Seems that would drastically skew t/s parameters.

im going off what ive been told by multiple ppl...

that 12 spoke recone was done by scott at Fi (that was before i knew how to do recones) he told me that basket was limited to 28mm of xmax

and yes the motors are that much stronger than the 3hp's, and it does skew the T/S parameters unless you build the top end to match the motor

furthermore, if you go to Fi's website... notice that none of their subs have more than 28mm of xmax

so you can see im not just pulling this number out of thin air
Your number is incorrect. As I said, I own subs that defy that number. So obviously its wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
And why would you want so much BL force? A 3hp already has a good amount, multiplying that by 6x would seem to easily surpass the point of necessity. You can have too much BL force too. T'S specs are in a delicate balance.

its more than 2mm...
more like 12mm (that basket allows 40mm of xmax)

realisticly with that motor you should get around 35-36mm of xmax... lol
thats quite a bit of movement..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i belive you ... thats just what i was told by scott, oh well

maybe its the spiders they use //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif i do know that the 8" spiders would be the limiting factor with that basket (so obviously the tc3k/eclipse ti baskets would allow much more travel (10" spiders)

its possible... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

but the only subs ive seen with motors strong enough for that kind of travel are the tc5200/lms5400 (only counting TC built subs of course //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif)

I read a while back that the 12-spoke limits excursion to 34mm. I dont know if its true, but that's what i remember reading a while ago.
My guess would be yes the soft parts are limiting the Fi drivers. Definitely not the basket.

Cheers.
