Well, you could buy the nicer equipment and have him install it. Should cost the same either way.

All I'm saying is that you seem to be sort of picky about your speakers. If you're that picky about them, a nicer amplifier should be relatively appealing as well...

This may seem elementary but if you had to priortize the individual components from a budgetary positon what would they be?

Say the main door componenets, rear coaxials, amps, HU, sub...

Thanks for the discussion, truly. I am old enough to read between lines.

bah it is a sub amp. I had a class a 10.0 on diamond hex components and a random california amp on a sub at one point in time. Despite ratings, if it makes enough power to do the sub justice, then IMO it is last on the list.

IMO the priority is #1 Install, #2front components, front stage amp , hu/processor integrated or not, subs, sub amp. That is the order.

1. head unit that offers the features you're interested in

2. component speakers for the front of the vehicle

3. amplifiers

4. subwoofers

5. speakers for the rear of the vehicle

I assume that you'll have children riding in the rear seats occasionally, so rear speakers may be more of a priority for you...

You're entitled to do whatever the hell you want, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with those Polk speakers. They aren't the greatest equipment in the world, but they are FAR from the worst. And if you're worried about having high-end equipment, you might want to return that Pioneer amplifier too.
If you want to buy american made equipment, more power to you. But you're going to be looking at some astronomical prices...
dude, let him buy usa made stuff. its only better for us lol

I've used Profile amps several times. It's all I could afford at the time and they're nice for the money...

Well seeing how the nature of this discussion actually flowed, I am somewhat relieved that I no longer feel the speakers are inferior quality. No one seemed to re-inforce my original notion. I do however think I would apreciate a better feeling and possibly performing HU like the Eclipse when It comes off BO. I will also order the Arc amp that was suggested. The installer was a fan of Arc and I can afford that.

misfit138...you are correct two kids.

I will keep reading up on the forum. Thanks for everyones time.

1. Install/tuning

2. HU - the source

3. If dealing with typical car audio speaker systems, even those of relatively high quality relative to the pursuit, the speakers come first and then the amplifiers.

OTOH, if you're working with very revealing transducers that reflect everything fed into them, and if your personal audio orientation values such performance, then the amplifiers come first. In car audio, this is rare.

Say the main door componenets, rear coaxials, amps, HU, sub...
If sound quality is a main priority, no rears at all.

Please feel free to shoot me a PM, if I can be of help.
