Could use help on buying an amplifier.

Well I am still young and my first amplifier I got for free was a sony xplod 1200 watt 2 channel. (sure as hell wasn't a 1200 watt rms output) but now I need a new amplifier cause this one turns on for 10 seconds or 20 seconds and goes into protect mode. and I don't want to fix it cause as it seems people around here or car audio people in general look down upon sony xplod amplifiers.

What amplifier should I get now? I currently have a Kicker L3 Wired to 4 ohms (DVC 2 Ohm) and I plan to upgrade cause im looking at dc audio or sundown audio something that will surely be a lot better. I have been thinking of the Hifonics BRX2000.1D But what would be the best amplifiers on the market in everyone's opinion? Sorry if I don't spell correctly or make much sense.

I have seen a lot of good reviews on Hifonics brx series. then some not so good ones. Really its mixed between "Good amp for the price" or that's what some people say.

Well my budget for the amp is 300 bucks. but if your the person I talk to about dc. I have looked at the dc subs and they look good. but I cant find a price. That's why I was learning towards sundown cause they have prices listed so I know what I need to pay for one. Do you have a price list that I could go by so I know what I could get? I am looking for 15-18 inch and on subs I could say my budget is $250. Whats at $250 or under $250 that's 15-18 inch. If there is something that is.

prices aren't posted on the request of the shops that carry dc products .a dc lvl 3 18 is 305 shipped also

Are any DC Audio amplifiers .5 ohm stable? I see they are 1 ohm stable. Like if I was wanting to save up a lot of money here and put a lot into this. as the dc audio level 4 18 comes in DVC 1 And 2 Ohm. What amplifier could match it at .5 ohm.
