Could A Box Ruin A Sub

I have a set of prefab Bassworx boxes and I was thinking of putting them in now that a few things in my system have changed. My question is is do I have to worry about the boxes maybe screwing up my subs? I know they more than likely won't be tuned like I like them to be, but I'm still willing to try it assuming I don't have to worry about anything. If it matters, I'm running two 12 Kicker CVRs

It's the swp12b. It says that it's wedge sealed? Does that mean it's still a sealed box or ported?

well it seems as if you know the answer... yes a box can ruin a sub.... its sealed if its a wedge sealed.... just be carefull with pre fabs...

If it's sealed, being that it's wedge sealed, what do I have to worry about as being sealed there's less to go wrong right? Also, if it is sealed, what's the point of the wedge?

If the box is classified as a sealed box, what is the point of the wedge? I thought that that would then make it a ported box.

wedge is the shape of the box!!!! has nothing do to with ported or not...

if you could read the bassworxs site you would clearly see what a ported box looks like...

and the worry with prefab box's they are not tuned to your sub, somtimes held together with screws or staples, no glue etc, and made with thin wood...

now goto the manufacturer's website for your sub, look up its specs, then match a box to those specs.

Yes I own it. The reason there is confusion is because I know the box is ported, but when you go to the bassworx site for the swp12b, it says it's sealed. You look the same thing up on google and it says wedge ported sealed box. So what the hell is this ****ing thing? Sealed or ported?
