I've got some power wire running to a distro block, then to a RF 500BD (around 650-700watts) and a Legacy LA630 4 ch (~400watts).

Should I run 4 guage wire to the distro block, and 8 guage to both amps?

Or 4 guage to the distro block, 4 guage to the 500BD, and 8 guage to the LA630.

You can do either 4 guage to the distro block should be plenty for both amps. 8 guage in sucha short peice is plenty for the Bd500 and the other amp so whichever you choose will work .

I've got an opti 1000.1D at 2 ohms (~800w) and a 100.4 bridged at 4 ohms (~500w) using about 14' of 4 ga split to about 18" of 8 ga (x2). 80A fuse up front and 60/30 at the d-block. Works perfectly, minimal voltage drop.

4/8/8 is ideal in your case.
