just to make sure (i lost the manuel that told me how to do this) i have a hifonics Amp and a sub w/ parraelle(sp?) wireing, the amp has the out puts with ++-- i put the + in the first and the - in the last

If you are talking about a monoblock amp as far as that HiFonics goes then the only reason there are two sets of output terminals is for ease of connection when using multiple subs. Those connections are "bridged" (for lack of a better term) internally so it doesn't matter which set you use of even use one terminal from one set with a terminal from the other set as you posted.
