well i got this fuseblock because i needed a 12v source for my two EQ's, my Xover, and any fans\lights i plan on thowing in.

so i decided to make a fuseblock for it all. in the end, i found this little baby.

first off - i ordered it on a monday, got here on thrusday of that week. these guys rule. second, costed me under $5+shipping. quite a deal.

i picked up some fuses and some quick connects of dave (aka, monte_carlo97) and i cant wait to get this thing running my accessories //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just thought id share.

oh yea. if you so desire, you can use a dremel (or somthing) to cut the metal off the board, and split it into two seperate fuse blocks, i may switch it around a bit, and use one side for a relay for the amps, and fused 5-way distro comming off of it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

it may be ugly, but its VERY practical and compact. i dont plan on showing it off anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the fuses? mm, i dunno. few dollars for a 10 pack or somthin. pretty cheap. he comes back from vacation - just shoot him a PM.

ghetto, practical, conveniant, performs the same as a high priced fuseblock/distributer.

Loving it man, i might get one when i find a good enough amp to run the XPK2's and the Auras and the PR's.

But then again, i am a sucker for anything in a clear plastic case/glass and looking pretty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

how does it work exactly? never had to wire accesories, care to explain how u would use it for the illiterate?
basically, its like any other fuse block.

im taking an 8awg wire from the main fuse block off my 0awg, and running it to one of those input terminals. then from there, it splits that 8awg wire into 9 seperate fused lines, and i can put any size fuse i want (ATC fuse), and then i just run it to whatever i need.

so if i have some neons that need power, i crimp a quick connect to its + wire, put in the corresponding fuse (like 1~5 amp or somthing) and then ground it at the mounting location. problem is that its on always.

i can solve that, but cutting apart the copper PCB (pcb = green thing that everything is soldered to) and it can be split into TWO fuse blocks on the same board. i think ill do this and use the second half for my relay-powered remote turn on wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yooo.wat does that thing doo...does it supply multiple channels of 12v power? cuz if it do i need one of those.
yes. yes it does. but you need to supply IT with a 12~14v source (those big fat silver cube things with the screws in them), it wont make its own. the red things are fuses, and the yellow things are quick connect thingamabobs that you hook on to the end of wires. they are detachable (so are the fuses)
