Converting Port to Vent help

im new here so if there is a post for this already, shoot me a link.

I have two Sound Storm CL15D 15'' subwoofers. they require a tube port that is 4'' in diameter and 10'' long. what i want to do is use a Sono tube to make an enclosure, but instead of having an aero port, i would like to do a Kerf port. is there anyway to convert it over so that it doesent sound horrible and waste my time? thanks!

Don't concern yourself with converting over the manufacturer recommendations for port size. Most of the time their port area projections are really small. I would suggest building the enclosure to maximize the output (2.5 to 3 cubes per sub) and use 12-16" of port per cube of air space.
