they have a very wide range of prices and your not paying for advertising like you are with alpine and kenwood

Those seem to be one of the most recommended 6.5 comps for a budget system. I am going to be picking up a set soon.

kicker comps are supposed to be decent look at some of those. btw i heard them in a best buy and they sounded very clear and the midbass part was pretty decent.

do i want something with a low overall min frequency? im looking more for the mid-bass than the highs from tweets.

X whatever on the PG RSd they will not disappoint. Do a search and read the reviews. I have heard them in two different installs for the price they will shock you. The mid-bass in the set is as good as some $250 comp sets and tweeter is pretty **** good.

If not RSd then take a look at some MBQ or CDT. They both make comp sets for the lower end$100-$150 range. Might also look for PPI set they have gotten good reviews also.
