Subsonic filter or put them in a correct box

If you're running a ported subsonic is a must. You'll bottom out those subs man.

Ok that's why I want to filter out the lows.

So i checked my HU and that HPF only affects the door speakers and also only goes down to 50hz.

Is there an external subsonic or High pass filter I can install between the amp and headunit?

What amp? It's probably a set sub sonic filter.

Manual don't say but it should be around 30hz set. It comes down to your box being jacked

I had the same problem with the same amp. Just got a different amp. No probs now.

Yes, they make external crossovers for pre-amp (RCA) level signals. You would just need one that can be set to high pass for a very low frequency cutoff.

I'm going to pickup a Belva BB3000D 1800W RMS BB Series Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier

That seems to be a way better amplifier for my needs

What music is causing the trouble? What frequency is your box tuned to?

the music culprit is stuff like bass nectar, different rap from lil jon and others then some steve meade reccomendations and trap music

the box is about 35 hz

also say i pickup a 6000 watt amp, can i only use like 3000 max watts of that amp for a more all around steady clean sound?

You can't go from a ~1,200W amp to over twice the power without adding expensive electrical upgrades. It's also going to destroy your sub that much faster below your port tuning frequency. If bass below 30 Hz is super critical for your enjoyment you need a new enclosure, and possibly new subwoofers. The flip side to this is you run out of "steam" at higher bass notes, meaning your speakers are expected to do a lot more work to fill in the gap.
