Continuity tester on fuses

So if I hook up a continuity tester on fuses, and it shows they work then it 100% does right? Cause my system isnt really working right now (amp power up, subs dont). I pulled the fuses and they look old and worn...but I tested them and it shows they still work. Is it possible they dont?

Testers aren't 100% though they are usually correct.

Better to measure the resistance across the fuse. A good fuse will read 0 ohms.
