I am about to install a nexus 7 tablet in my car with a DAC & Pioneer 80PRS. I'm consdering going to an active setup.
I also currently own:
-Kicker KX650.4
Kicker KX650.4 4-channel car amplifier 120 watts RMS x 4 at Crutchfield.com
-CDT es62i
CDT Audio ES-62i
I am thinking that this summer I may add a shallow mount (2 seater not much room) subwoofer such as one of these:
-Pioneer IB-Flat 8", 10"
or
-JL Audio TW3 10
1. So do I keep the KX650.4 & add a second amp for the sub?
2. Buy the JL audio 600/6 in the for sale section?
3. Would the JL be a better amplifier overall & why?
4.If using an active setup. 2x tweeters & 2x mids (all CDT's) & then one subwoofer.
What would be the power out to the tweeters/mids & then sub?
Checking online.... Would it be 200 RMS to tweeters, 200 rms to mids & 200 rms to sub (really don't need a lot of bass just a bit extra to take a load off the mids)?
Research seems to say active means you don't need as powerful of an amplifier.
Advice needed, where should I go with this?
