Connecting the terminal cup connections to speakers?

How can I do this?

The only thing that is on the terminal plate is 2 prongs that stick out. Is soldering the only way to go? Hopefully not because this project has already gone over my budget.

One more question. What kind of screws should I use to hold the terminal plate?

Also, should I seal the plate with some silicon caulk?
