connecting computer to tv?

anyone know how i can connect my computer to my tv? reason i ask is i want to buy the mlb package for $15 a month to watch the baseball games online at mlb.com but i dont want to watch the game on my small 19'' computer screen and i dont want to pay about $150 to my cable people to get the mlb ticketer or whatever its called..so if you guys can give some suggestions id greatly appreciate it thank you

Pretty much the easiest way, most computers have them now. What other outputs do you have? Does your tv have a monitor hook-up? What tv?

That will get your video out, then you will have to splice a Audio cable from your headphone jack or another cable that would come out like your speakers on the computer.

im assuming you have an HDTV, in which case **** s-video and hello VGA or HDMI. I'm on a 32" lcd right now via VGA cable.

ya i use vga cable most of the time but if i hook my laptop up to my 32" lcd i use HDMI not a big difference tho

If your TV has S-video hookups it's just a cable. If not, search around for something that goes VGA -> regular RCA?

the tv is a 36'' rca i bought 3 years ago but its not hdtv, a friend looked at my tower and said my hard drive is too old it wont work? here is the model number let me know what you think

for that computer it looks like you will need a scan converter. it takes a vga signal in and converts it to composite RCA. Picture won't look real good but it will work. or get a video card that has a video output

That TV will have a s-video port. Pretty much all 20" and up TV's from the last 5 years do. You will not be happy with the picture, but on that TV it is your only option. The t3085 machine that you have does have a AGP slot. Buy this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130210 and install it. You can then run a s-video cable from the PC to the TV.
