connecting battery wire with fuse in parallel

My batteries are less than 12 inches apart. Just measured up.

Can I get away with 1 fuse holder in between . The fuses holders are so big it seems pointless using 2. It has a 300A fuse installed ? any help appreciated as im outside right now just finishing up. Thanks

Have I fused these close enough to the battery do you think and would it work ok in the event of a short if it ever happened.

1 is for bass, mid, treble amps ?

12 inches apart one fuse should be sufficient.

Yes that is close enough for the fuses.

Its personal preference really. I usually fuse all power runs unless I am using buss bars than I dont fuse. Its really up to you and whether you think your connections will last while keeping in mind the possibility of having to hold up in an accident.

cool. If the wire is 12in apart, would you put the fuse 6in in between, that way, its equall for both batteries ?

not worth fusing short tuns imo, unless its for the protection of the equipment. (fuse a short run to an amp if your amp doesn't have built in fusing)

Yea, to short of a run for 2 fuses.

How close you would fuse the battery is really subjective to what car it is being installed in.

I usually try to mount mine around 8 inches or less to the battery.

I am going to fuse the wire half way on the short run of wire just to be on the safe side. Im not taking any chances so will use 1 300 ANL fuse
