New to the forums... Had a question that I've been wondering for some time now. I'm about to purchase a car (a 2006 Lincoln LS for those curious), and it doesn't come with an AUX jack in any form. I also do not like the head unit period and its bulkiness and heaviness (I have a 2001 Lincoln LS, which is how I know). Plan on doing some very unusual things, but long story short, is there a way I could wire a 3.5mm female AUX jack directly to the speaker wires with some kind of amplifier in between, and plugging a double sided male cable to the jack and my... other device? I'm talking from a general perspective, not car-specific. If I could, what kind of splicing/cutting/sodering/etc. would I need to do to achieve this?
