MECA calls it "reality SPL" the mic location is 26" up from the floor of your driver side seat, exactly where your head would be if you were driving the vehicle. This gives the exact amount of sound pressure you would be experiencing in the vehicle. This mic position is usually 3-4 db lower than your dash legal SPL, and 5-6 db lower than your outlaw kickpanel score. MECA has what I feel is the toughest meter in the world, the Linear X doesn't play a bit... Going by what I was doing on a teammates Kriss meter, and compared to the people there who also do drag... the meter was down several... several Db from an AC, or termlab meter.. alas the appearing low score //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifOriginally posted by Corsica Care to explain about the class???
