Confused on what this switch is?

I think i must have missed something in the ad. I was looking for a good, slightly used set of 12''s for my boat install. Went to town today and picked them up..

They are the Infinity 124.7 12" subs with a ported Memphis box. On the back of the sub where the wires plug in theres a switch that says "2" and "8" and is selectable between the two. I didnt see anything about this in the ad.

Now Im confused.. Will my 2000 watt 2 channel amp work for this? How will I hook them up? I went through the wiring diagrams on here and none of them mention this switch..

Heres the specs on the sub:

Speaker Type :passive

Speaker Diameter :12"

Nominal (RMS) Output Power: 350 Watt

Response Bandwidth: 18 - 250 Hz

Input Impedance :2/8 Ohm

Sensitivity: 90 dB

Magnet Type: Neodymium

Connectivity Technology: Wired

Additional Features: Dual voice coil

Any help?

Car Audio & Electronics got their hands on a new Infinity Kappa Series 124.7w and put it through the paces. They ended up giving it an above average score of 70.5 out of a possible 100 points.

The most promising feature on the new Infinity subwoofer is a simple switch to adjust the resistance between 2 ohms and 8 ohms (there is also a dual 2 ohm model available). I know similar things have been done before, but it is nice to see this being employed more often just for simplicity.

ok, so that allows you to select the ohms, but how in the heck do i wire it up off of a 2000watt 4 channel amp and how do i set the switch?
