confused on dual voice coils help!

i want to purchase a kicker 12 inch l7 that im going to power with an infinity ref611a amp that i want to run at two ohms. should i go with the dual voice coil 4

ohm model or the dual voice coil 2 ohm? i can get a better price on the 2 ohm so i was wondering if it would work. thanks in advance

Dual 4 for you my friend. You'll have to wire it down to 2 ohms.

the one im looking at is the one kicker already manufactures in a ported box. one says two ohm and the other four ohm, i would assume that they are already prewired inside the box this way so i should only have one set of speaker terminals on the box. am i correct or am i an idiot? please dont answer that last question!!! lol!

if the amp you want is 2 ohms, you would have to get a dual 4 sub... you cannot run a dual 2 at 2... check out the rockford fosgate link above. idk how kicker would wire a preloaded sub in a box, (weather it would be series or parallel). you can rewire it yourself with that link.
