so i got a complete amp installation wiring kit from Earthquake its called the AK-4000. it looks like this.

AK4000.jpg

i was wondering what terminals/connecters go with which wires? and which ones should i use for the ground wires? Can i also run the Remote wire on the same side as the power wire?

Heres what terminals/connectors the kit comes with....

(2) 4-guage gold "O" ring terminal 1 red/1 black

(2) 4-Gauge gold "U" ring terminal 1 red/1 black

(4) 14-16 gold "U" termainl for speaker termails on amp 2 red/2black [ i know about what wire this goes to already ]

(4) 0.25" gold female dissconnects for speakers 2 red/2 black [ huh? ]

(1) 14-16 Guage gold "U" terminal for remote turn-on wire 1black [ i know which wire this goes with too ]

(1) 16-22 Gauge butt connector for remote turn-on wire 1 red

(1) Gold Plated ANL FUSE 150A

I just really dont understand which 4-guage gold "O"/"U" ring terminals go with what? i know i use them for the power wire, but which ones do i use to connect with the ANL fuse and which for the battery and for the amp.

Thanks for all your help, i like to know exactly what goes to which. beucase i know the electrical system is nothing somethin to half-*** one. please no flaming on all my noob questions.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

what terminals do i use when i hook up the power wire into and out of the Fuse Holder? i was thinking about using 1 "O"ring on the battery and another to one of the sides of the fuse holder, and use the spades for the other side of the fuseholder and use the other for the amp. is that a good idea?

how is the fuse holder does it have straight terminals to just shove wire into. i dont know alot about that amp kit you have, but in the past i have seen the fuse holder be a open hole to just put the power wire through. if this is different i might beable to help you more with a detailed descrtiption of the fuse block and the rear speakwire you can take right from where you disconnected the 6x9's and run it to the high inputs on ur amp if it has them. there should of been a wire assembly that plugs into your amp it almost looks like the back of a decks wire assmebly, but with less wires. then just make sure you have positives and negatives hooked right and you should be good. the rear wires if im correct are right positive (blue/white) and the right negative (blue/red). the left side should be left positve (brown/yellow) and left negative (brown/red). this might be wrong, but have worked with neons before to see the wiring in them. beings it a mono amp there will prolly only be one set of wire a positive and negative. it is up to you to choose which side to tap into.

i would connect one 4 gauge O ring terminal to the Battery then the other O ring terminal to the ground from the amp. then use the 2 U ring terminals for ur amp if thats how the connectors are on the amp. If this is the way ur amps connects wire to it then do it that way, and go to a local audio shop or parts store and get 2 4 gauge U ring terminals. from what you have that is the best idea i can give you to get the wiring situated unless there is something else in that pack i missed that can work to connect to the block, amp or what ever else. which i read it a bunch of times and could only come up with this decision. for the wire from the 6x9just make the wire longer with extra speaker wire. gauge doesnt matter even primary wire will work. it will carry enough current. now that i remember to ask is the wire from the 6x9's the same colors in order that i told you? if they are you will be fine with positive and negative problems.
