actually if you want to find out the true effective cone area, look up the drivers sd and multiply that by 9, SD is the useful cone area, rather than measuring from edge to edge of the surround or basket.

Calvin, you stand up for Kicker way too much You just as well as anyone else those are weak subs for the money. Granted if he wants to go with square subs, there's really no other option.... I'd try to find blown ones actually and see if @SPLaudio; could make them into some nice woofers.
