Nice results! I'm still rocking a S939 O180 oc'd to 2.74 and SLI'd 7800GT's.. Oh yeah!

Can't wait for the NV 9000 series to drop. Crysis and Far Cry 2 look promising.

I'm not as much of a gamer as I used to be. The most recent games I have played are Half Life 2, Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. BF 2 > BF 2142.

I decided not to go SLI. I picked up a MSI GeForce 8600GTS (OC).

I'm teaming this up w/

C2D 6750

4GB Corsair XMS DDR2 1066

(2) WD Raptor 36GB SATA150 in RAID-0 (OS and a few games)

WD Caviar SE16 320GB SATA300 (storage - music, etc.)

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (Core 2 Quad and DDR3 compatible for future upgrades)

Thermaltake 700w PSU (I don't overclock)

... plus peripherals.

I'm hoping this gives me decent FPS at the above-listed games. I'm movin up from a P4 2.4, 2GB DDR 266, (2) 80GB UATA133 HDs in RAID-0, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. That setup was decent on lower settings.

After viewing the test results, it looks like the AMD has floating point calc advantage over C2D (almost double), but the C2D > AMD in everything else.

My first PC was a 486 DX2 50MHz. I think it had like 2mb RAM and 40MB hard drive or something.

Then, I bumped up to a Pentium Pro 200Mhz... Pentium II 350MHz... Athlon XP 1GHz... P4 2.4 (current)... Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz (coming this week)
