Computer people help?!

I overwrote my paper when I saved it on my jumpdrive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif. It's due like now and I have no time to re-type. Is there any possible way to somehow get it back!?!? please help guys

Yes. You need an undelete application. Clarify overwrote? Like you clicked save and the name of the file or just deleted it and put something else there?

yea i typed my paper last night. I'm pretty positive I clicked save. I think it saved right to the jumpdrive. This morning I clicked and dragged the notepad from my desktop replacing the existing one on my jumpdrive. The one I replaced happend to be finished one.

Same file name = start typing.

I don't think the allocation tables keep that seperate so it is more than likely gone.

try system restore, you cant recover a file if youve over written it with a different application/word document save. but the system restore should work, just go to the time before it happened or as close the time you can get.
