computer is broken

i tried that chkdsk /r thing ruckus, and it didnt work...im gonna try again tonight after work cuase when i did try it, i actualy fell asleep and in the morning my laptop had shut off (even plugged into the wall) so im not 100% sure that it completely finished.

but if its just missing that NTLDR file, i should be able to get it back without reformating my hdd?

the chkdsk /r would rebuild the nt loader for you. Something must of happened because I use it all the time @ work fixing fuxored computers

or better yet try

chkdsk /r /f recover and fix

my friend did something in DOS while i was at work (left my laptop at his house) and he fixed it...im gonna find out exactly what he did but he said it boots now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

im backing up all my data now for further problems!
