Delete everything? Do you mean format & reinstall windows, or just remove as many applications and useless data as possible? (I recommend option 1)

you need the windows disc that came with your computer

Sure thing, This Site has a full guide to what you need to do.

I suggest that you do not install ME again... In fact I recommend that you take your ME disk and flush it down the toilet because it is SH*T the memory manager on ME is completely F'ed up. I would recommend windows 2000 or xp depending on your machine. Also make sure before you reformat that you have drivers for your hardware or at least access to another computer so you can download them from the internet.

XP can be had for around 80 on newegg, OEM. I second the notion of removing ME. My ex's computer ran it, reinstalled, same **** problems as before. Avoid at all costs.
