what do u think of this? It's a decent setup. I just recommended doing some searching if you're looking to save some bucks.
I don't know if I'd trust an off-brand power supply over the long haul... that's one of your most critical component investments right there. Great choices on everything else. That mobo is getting very promising reviews on a couple sites.hec Orion XPOWER585 ATX12V 2.01 585W $27.98

switching out the mobo and psu..will it still come out to 311 shipped? that's all i haveNot bad for an upgrade path, but I would still lean towards the 7025 AM2 mobo since you'll have about the same graphics power as that 7300 add-in as well as a dual-core proc right off the bat. And pleeeeease.... get at least the power supply (that Antec) that I originally linked... it's an extremely vital component that shouldn't be skimped on or gambled with.
ok so ima take the graphics card out..can u recommend the mobo, cpu and psu?Figure in the fact that you don't have to spend the money on the stand-alone graphics card, it might even out.
He might not be able to use his case. A lot of OEM systems have proprietary mobo and power supply mounting hole locations as well as completely different wiring for the front panel lights and switches. I manufacture them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifIf your on a budget, go get a mobo/cpu combo on ebay (see them CHEAP), use your case, optical drivers, (maybe power supply) etc. So new mobo/cpu, HD, and video card, if you dont get the latest greatest BS (just get something like a year old) it should be able to be done rather frugally.
People get so mind fuked in thinking a one year old computer is actually slower (real world) then a new one (comparable make / quality of course). Kinda like cars, "well this be my five year old corvette, I traded that there car in for a new daewoo, it be NEW" lol
anyway, get the mobo/cpu and HD from ebay
