the white slots are pcithe brown slot is AGP

the agp card you listed will not work with your mobo if you dont have that brown slot(that sounds bad)

anyway, finding an upgraded card in PCI version wont do much anyway since your cpu will become the limiting factor, better off just leaving the video as is and saving the cash

I have a older Celeron 2.7, 768MB, 40GB and I think it has a CDRW I will let go for $100+ shipping and packaging (Will probably be about $20 to ship and $10 or so for packaging)

I use it to run my serial cracks on now so I don't have to run them on my main PC but honestly can't remember the last time I actually used it for that.

If you can though what Deja posted is probably your best bet along with the fact you will learn how to build a PC.

forgot to ask..the onboard video on here is pretty horrible..would the upgrade in ram take less stress off the cpu and let the vid card run better?

You have to consider what you're getting there... dual core processor, 1GB mem, 120GB HDD, a DVD burner, decent case, and a solid power supply.

Can you suggest something better for the money? And it's not like this system won't effectively run any operating system or applications out there now. Sure, it's not an uber-gaming system, but what can one expect for this price point?

yea i can salvage the dvd burner..monitor...keyboard/mouse..and i can use this terrible 200gb hdd as a slave drive..it runs great as a slave but terrible as a master...

You might want to hit up the FS section here or over at HardOCP's http://www.hardforum.com and scope for some parts.... might find a good deal on a SATAII HDD, some RAM, or maybe even a CPU. You could even post a WTB thread and see what kind of offer replies you get.
