try reinstalling a fresh copy of windows on the drive that crashed. it can do wonders. if that doesn't work try installing windows in the slave and going master with that, and having the other drive be da slave. if not, just see if you can go master with the drive that was a slave in your old setup. if you can, then just reformat the hdd that crashed and use it as the slave now. if you have a lot of precious **** you can always have people do a hdd recovery, but they charge a lot of money. i might be able to, but my time is too precious (read: i'm lazy). let me know if you really do need someone to do a hdd recovery and i know a co. that will charge like $100 - $200 depending on drive size, but they guarantee success.
