Compustar antennae: how to keep from falling off window..

My new Compustar alarm antenna that is mounted to the inside of my cars windshield has fallen off each of the last 3 days becuase of the heat. I can stick it back up and it will stay for now...but as soon as the car sits again it will fall off. Its a pain and it will only get worse.

anyone have any rememdies for this?

I was worried that mine would fall off when I had my windshield replaced, but I hasn't move yet. I bet if you called one of those places they could tell you what they use on rearview mirrors....some high temp double sided adhesive perhaps??

Go to the autoparts store and buy a rearview repair kit. It comes with the glue you use for them. I think this would work.

my tolltag is held on with velcro... almost a year now and going VERY strong... i even moved it once, and it stuck again, no problem...

FYI I've tried Velco and the heat made that come off in a gooey mess. I just tried the rear view mirror adheasive and that didnt hold. (It says something about no good for plastic on the label...so I figure thats why...)

Any other ideas?

i had the same problem with my compustar ended up using super glue and its been there for about a year

If you find the good 3M double sided tape (like auto body shops use) used for attaching emblems and such on cars it should stay.

I think Auto Zone might have it but make sure it is the thin stuff.

Clean everything good with rubbing alcohol..winshield and antenna.

Bought some 3M double sided tape from Pep Boyz. We'll see how it does...

Clean everything really good with alcohol wipe it dry with a paper towel and give it a shot!
