Whats better sound quality?

Componet mids or full range?

Full range is just the tweeter in the middle of the speakers right?

Ive got this infinity componet set and its never been very loud as in treble or bass.Its hooked up to the head unit right now.Im about to hook a 250 watt kenwood amp up to them.Will they sound alot louder and more clear?

Also if I have a 760 watt amp hooked up to 2 12'' subs.The amp is bridged but only turned up to normal (below half power mark) its not getting 760 watts is it?

How can I tell how much my system can handle as in volume and bass etc.. without blowing everything up?

760 watts, please say your not using the Sony. If so, you won't come anywhere close to that mark, so you won't blow anything for overpowering. At full volume and on a lucky day your subs will be seeing 175w or so a piece. And that's only if you wire it right, otherwise your looking at far less.

yes amp the components the passive xover eats alot of your 20 watts rms from your deck

No Im using a pioneer 760 watt amp bridged to 2 12'' Planet Audio subs.How do I know how much bass and volume I can turn them up to?

oh no you have planet audio subs and infinity comps. that is just plain wrong man. i still doubt that your getting the full 760 watts out of that amp though.

This was basically a slap together system.Well it started out that way.I traded my old bicycle to my friends for the subs in the box and some piece of junk 600 watt amp.

Whats wrong with Infinty comps.?I mean there not very loud but I dont have anything pushing them right now.

I was thinking later I would buy 2 12'' kicker comp.Maybe add a bit more quality sound.

The amp is set at normal and it hits pretty freakin hard.Im running open header on my car right now (not by choice ) and my system overcomes the revving.

Anyways whats a good full range speaker 5.25 for under $100. or should I wait or just hook the amp up to the mids and tweets and see how it sounds?

my bad i misread the first time i was kinda tired and thought you said a dif. brand of subs, i don't know how good the subs are but i know the rest of their stuff kicks butt. anyway i was just saying the brand i thought you had was crap for subs b/c i thought you put a dif. name then putting them with good componet's like infinity's except the tweeter's is wrong, not the choice on componet's was wrong.
