Ok, I have done some reading, and still have a few questions. Currently I have Infinity Ref 6.5in compontents, and arent all that happy with them. I am finding them to be alittle harsh, and lacking midbass ( the midbass part is partly from not having my doors sound-deadened, which is comming soon ). What sugesstions do people have... I deffintetly want something that isnt anywhere near as harsh as what i have, but i wanna stay below the $150 mark. Also, if it makes a difference to know, I have a premier amp that does around 120rmsx2 off an alpine 9853. Thanks

I know how you feel i used to own them as well. Take a look at the pg octane zr components. Or for bout 150 look at the xenons. Their are many others, but thats just to name a few.

I have a pair of 6.5 Pioneer C1653 Components and for the price don't think that you can beat them. I bought them a etronics.com for around 110 for the pair and they sound great. I also have a pair of Logic Soundlab ZXK600 components and they kill. I also bought them at etronics.com for only about $70. these both sound great in my car and are at a great price. And I think I might be the only person in caraudio.com that has Logic Soundlabs.

i have a pair of alpine type r's that i got for 140 shipped. they sound really warm and the mid bass is great. one thing that i like is that you can set the tweeters to diff crossover points to where you like your highs at. check them out

maybe look into your setup instead of new components. half the time it is the signal being sent to your components that needs adjustment. play with your settings a little bit. those are a good speaker so if you arent happy with them after you adjust them a little bit, maybe look into an EQ. if you have any questions about them, just ask, i have played with a lot of them.
