components recomended hz

That would be a HighPass crossover. Basically what it does is it allows all frequencies HIGHER than the setting to pass through...blocking all frequencies below it.

I'd recommend right around 80hz or so for the HighPass for those TypeR components.

the mids should be crossed low enough that they bring some bass up front...but not so low that they pop and distort at the max volume that you listen to.

try the 80hz-100hz and see what works best for you.

ok, thanks. Is there a more presice way to know what your frequensies are cause I have a turn knob that is basicly a varible resistor. I can guestimate what it is but I would like to know exactly what it is. Maybe with a voltmeter?

ok, I have the backs now tuned to about 100hz and the front tuned to about 85hz. It seems to get a deeper sound around 100 vs. 80 so I put 100 in the back and the 85 in the front. It doesn't pop at all and I have a spicific spot in a sound that would almost always make them distort. It sound a lot better now and I am really looking foward to the x's I am getting here soon. They are supposed to have a crap load of more mids than the Rs. Thanks for the help
