components or subwoofer

i know this might seem like a weird question, but what would you rather buy components or a subwoofer with amps. these are my choses the polk audio MMC6500 components set in the front and and polk MMC650 in the back powered by an orion 4002, and 8004. or a dd 9515 and orion 2500D. i only have enough money for one or the other. i would eventually buy the other one,but it would probably be a good year before i did so. what do u think of my choses and which would you rather have very good sq or spl.

Well if I have to choose between my bottom 2 octaves or the upper 10, I'd take the 10. For musical purposes a system with a good set of comps and an amp sounder "louder" than a setup with crappy stocks and a sub. If I can barely hear any music besides the low end beat, it isn't loud.

why do you need so much power??? just get a lighter sub/amp combo and some decent front comps and amp, or an ok set of coaxes and hold off on the upgrade...

I have this idea stuck in my head, it may be retarded to yall BUT, I would imagine that, since he said thats what he wants, he doesnt actualy need so much power, he WANTS it, which is why he is going with WHAT HE WANTS.
