Components on a budget?

What are some sets of components that are considered high quality for around $200?

I know I'll need to hear them for myself as everyone has a diff. opinion as to "best" sound. I'm just trying to get some ideas of some brands/models to look for.

My friend recommends his Rainbow components. I liked the Diamond Audio ones I heard in my friends system.

I heard a pair of low end JL audio ones in a store and they sounded pretty good.

I don't like the MB Quarts I heard in my other friend's car. They were far too harsh and "tinny". I like a more warm, smooth sound with a silk tweeter.

Any recommendations?

just saw that that crystal component system has an aluminum dome tweeter. i'm pretty sure i wanna stick with a silk dome.

The MOMO or the 720PRS would get my vote, as well. Also check in to the Cerwin Vega VMax65 and RF T162S.

I just installed a set also, and he's right. Outstanding set of speakers. Can't be beat for the price. $179.99 right now at wooferetc. Do yourself a favor and pick them up.
