I'm looking at upgrading my stock 6x8 speakers to 6.5" components and also add an amp to drive them. I have about $800 to spend on them...any suggestions on what to get. I want a SQ system when I'm completely done.

diamond, focal, jl, seas, all have some good components. just search out a set first, then decide an amp to match to them.

also, is this your frontstage or rearstage?

if rearstage, i would ditch the rear fill and just do the frontstage. wasted money if you ask me..and will completely throw imaging off and sound bad.

Look into Rainbow comps.
