Component speakers help

I currently have a pair of Alpine spr-17s component speakers that I bought and I am now curious as to if I could of done better. What would you recommend me for a f150 truck for the front and back. Im just curious for right now.

My amp is a Sundown 100.4.

100 into 4 ohms and 150 into 2 ohms.

I would only change if you truly think the price/performance is that much better than my alpines ( I only paid like 100 for them brand new)

My subs are gonna be the new si mags. with 2 1000d's strapped to them.

I also bought some inifinity rear fill pretty much 5x7 would yall change those? I got those for like 45 I think, also brand new.

You are going for the Mags? That will be very nice I just thought you were looking for something extremely shallow.

In any case, those Alpines are decent. That is not a lot of money to spend on the front stage.

With that money, I see a lot of of people happy with the Phoenix Gold RSD's, but I have never heard them myself.

If you go up to the $250 - 300 range you open things up quite a bit. (Not saying there is anything wrong with what you have, I just like several choices in this price range).

haha the new mags are only 5.5 inches deep. I have thought about those phoenix golds before so I might do that. Ill see if I can sell these alpines for 200 or so. I have also considered cdt audios cf-61fg i think is the model number. There over there on woofersetc.com and they have been reduced a ton.

IDK about those cdt's. I ran the EF's and they were certainly decent, nice mid range. But the very first line is not that good from what I hear.

If you can get in the price range I stated earlier, you may want to look at some Rainbow SLC's. That is what I replaced the CDT's with. Much better mid bass response.

Those new Mags sound promising.

They are circular in nature, but on the inside they be nice. Very versatile.

As for OP....I have great interest in those alpines. For the price range, nice selection.

Instead of rear fill, try buying some deadener.

I plan on buying 160 sq feet of damplifier, maybe some closed cell foam on top, or maybe some spectrum not sure yet.
