Component Speaker Question

There are much better comps for the money, are you wanting to run off h.u. or amp them? Most comps will sound better amped, but if you are looking to run off h.u look for some with a high sensitivity rating and that handle a low amount of power.

so how would i connect the 2 sets of mids and tweeters into 2 channels when it looks as if it normally would take 4. My problem is i have a 4 channel amp and i was planning on running this component setup in the front and a set of coax speaker in the rear. So what your saying is i get rid of the crossovers and then i get wire the mids and tweeters into the same place, sorry for causing such a fuss im new to this and i just want to do things right the first time.

quit confusing the newb reverse. Tom how much are u looking to spend ? what 4 channel amp do you have? On the amp you connect it to the passive crossover for the comps andit splits it between the mids and the tweets. And then the other 2 channels will go to the coaxials. Dont forget to leave aside money to deaden your doors and put in deflex pads or something similar.

Rockford Fosgate T400-4 Power Series Compact 4-Channel Amplifier (this one?)

Here are some front options that would be good with that amp.

Boston Acoustics SC60 6-1/2" SC Series High performance, Low-

JBL GTO608C Grand Touring Series 6-1/2" 2-way Component System (these would get louder cause they are 2 ohm)

Amazon.com: Morel Maximo 6 1/2 inch 2 way component system: Electronics

As far as the rear, here are the matches:

Boston Acoustics SC65 6-1/2" (Fits in Most 6-3/4" Locations) SC

JBL GTO628 6-1/2" or 6-3/4" Grand Touring Series 2-way Car Speakers

Amazon.com: Morel Maximo 6C 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers: Electronics

Personally , i would go with the jbl if you want the best bang for your buck, but the morels or the ba's if you want really good sq.

The jbl are very nice too and with the 2 ohm impedance might be your best bet with your current amp. at least thats my opinion.

For $250 buy a set of HAT Imagines, run them bridged off your amp & don't bother with rear speakers. If you must have rears, run em off your headunit.
