hello i'am looking to purchase the Alpine Type S component speakers but need a little help is says it has a crossover slope of 12DB@ high pass and 6DB@ low pass i would like to know if this is any good and i will have a Profile CL640 amp running these along with the rearfill Coaxials that are also Alpine Type S speakers, the amp runs 75watts RMSx4 and i would like to know where i should set the filters ( high or low pass) and where should the cut-off be ( what HZ)?

Thanks A Lot ( if you have enough time will you explain this all to me)

Thanks Again..

Doesn't really matter. Alpine employs decently smart people I'm sure......so those slopes should be what was required to optimize the performance of the comp set.

Highpass

and where should the cut-off be ( what HZ)?
That's setup dependent. Try anywhere between 70hz and 125hz. Just listen for the setting that sounds best to you.
