Component install avg labor time

So I've decided on the speakers i want, and am buying them tonight (hsk165s).

I don't have the skills (or time mainly) to install comp's, at least when it comes to ones that can't be mounted like the stocks...and i'd much rather have a professional do it faster, plus the work is warrantied.

Anyway. 05 chevy TB. HSK 165s. Stock speakers currently. I want to get these in the door, and i know deadening is something i have to consider also, but they guy at the shop i was talking to is going to try to pitch me some off the wall fiberglass install costing hundreds of dollars - and obviously i don't want that.

For them to build or have some type of molding within the door panel itself, what type of install is this? Is this fiberglass they have to use? I know the mounting depth is much larger than the door panel itself, so that's what i'm curious about...I know they will have to cut holes in the door panel to fit this also.

My question - if i go the cheapest method (speaker install, tweeter install) - where it looks decent and is painted to match or even just a basic color - black, gray, etc.) how much labor time is involved given they do it all at once? This is a shop, not necessarily one guy doing it. I just don't want to walk in, they say "oh this will take 6 hours of labor" and be completely screwed. I know more of the advanced setups will take a lot of time, i just want these installed, door panels possibly deadened (which i can do myself probably) and look halfway decent.

Any ideas?

so even for a basic install with some rings to mount the speaker on, and prettied up basically...2-4 hours? including tweeter install?

2-4 hours if you have to fabricate some sort of custom pod/housing for them.

45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on the installer and attention to detail. Also depends if new wires are ran for an amplifier instead of headunit.

But cutting a hole in a door panel and trying to mount can look like shit if done by a half-assed installer.

And really, theres endless ways to mount a tweeter.
