ok i am a complete nerd when trying to figure out car audio installation and sound adjustments.i need easy simple leyman style help. what im working with right now is , an alpine cda-9811 50x4 w/4v preout, an alpine kca-420i (4 ipod),(2) in dash 4" mb quart rkc 110 2 way coax w/12db crossovers each,(2)sets,4woofer 4 tweeter mb quart pce 216 6.5" 2 way components w/tweet range adjustable crossovers ranging -0.0 to -6.0 db, (1)jl audio 10w6(in open faced box), and an eclipse 5/4 ch ea3532 amp. i really am at a loss as to what most of that means except a lot of $. im looking for a good vocal sound w/ some solid bass giving depth rather then rattles. basically im looking for the ability to go from some earth wind and fire or some ELO to say some faith no more(funk/metal) or even dance hall crashers (ska)and keep clear solid vocals. what kind of adjustments should i make on my amp and why? how should my sub be wired ? how many channels shouyld i be using? should or is it good practice to run a couple ,say the 4" off the h.u? help me:crap:
