6 speakers, 4 channel amp, what to do

2 4x6's in the front 35wrms 4 ohm each(boston s75)

2 6.5's in the doors 100wrms 4 ohm each(AA 6.5)

2 6x9's in the rear deck, 100wrms 4 ohm each(off brand)

1 4ch amp

100x4 @ 4ohm,

125x4 @ 2ohm

210x2 @ 2ohm bridged

HU 4 channels 22wrms @ 4 ohm

what should i do. i initially decided that i would run the front 4x6's off of the headunit, and the other 2 locations from the amp. the front speakers sound great @ 30/34max volume from the HU, though there is a very slight distortion regardless to volume via HU power.

now i believe that running the rear 6x9's from the HU is much more vulnerable to distortion that the front 4x6's. but obviously most of the sound i will hear is from the front.

what is the best way to go about this. im finishing up the installation tommorrow. should i attempt to amp all 6 speakers from the external? play around and see what sounds best? im afraid i may not get adequate power to the speakers if i run all 6 of them.

get rid of the POS oval speakers! Go with components.
LOL
i would love to. but im a student at the moment and cant afford to spend harshly. same thing with the 2 channel amp. im trying to compromise best i can with sql in mind.

thanks flakko.

how might u suggest it working with my 4 cha, another 2 cha, and a monoblock? ive never thought about it, sounds kinda tricky.

well does your HU allow 6 channels of amplification? if not you are screwed unless you hack into the stock speakers wires and use a Line-out converter

use the 4 channel and the mono on the HU and use an LOC for the 2 remaining channels

daisy chain the Remote wire, get a fused distro and a ground distro and have fun!

hah that sounds like alot of work. it took me all friggin day just installing my HU and running wires for the 4 channel. yah my HU has 3 sets or preouts. eh i think im gonna can that idea of another amp right now hehe.

i was planning on ditching the noname 6x9's and getting the sister pair of boston acoutics 6x9's from a seller in the classifieds. those and the 4x6's are 35wrms, i can those off the front channel and call it a day =D

Wire a resistor in series with the dash speakers and wire all the front speakers in parallel on the fron amp channels. That will attenuate the power going to the dash speakers to keep you from worrying about blowing them and will send full power to the main front speakers. An 8 ohm 25W resistor should work fine.

hah its too late i wired by fronts and rears togethor. left side on 1 channel, right side on the other. it works out pretty good this way. the fronts take less power so they are slightly louder than the rears which is perfect. it gets louder than i need at less then half gain.

and i have a full 100w for my 66 mids when i get those in.

you got a fire extinguisher in ur car?
are u implying im going to blow something up?

front and rear left are wired to a total load of 2 ohms on the rear left channel. vice versa with the rear right channel. the aa poly mids will have the front left and front right channel.
