Its not just the subs that counts but the amount of space your going to need to make a box to hit 150db. Trunk isn't the best for that

I am beginning to think that perhaps not only does amount of space in the trunk available for box matters, but also the amount of free air space in trunk as well. (ie large box covering whole trunk is no good)

I ,too, am questing for 150dB. I drive a cutlass ciera with about 6ft total airspace available for a box. I am going to look at 2 juggernauts 12" each powered by an usamps merlin d2.

Looking a lots of dampening material to keep sounds inside the car, perhaps replacing worn/brittle weathertripping. Deaden inside doors. Most people will reccomend test and tuning. I am going to see if any local shops rent termlabs.

What do you mean large box covering whole trunk? I did that and hit 156 with a custom rear deck for my port. Here take a look at this. This is before I had all my mtx 9500 subs in there. I did 156 off the 9500 mtx subs off 190 a/c.

try 2 mt15 in a 8 cube ported box tuned at 40hz with 2 orion 2500ds u should hit
