1 Avalanche wouldn't come close to a pair of OZ ME's in output. Sound quality....enough to say that you wouldn't be unhappy with either.

True, I've had experience with both... and even had a chance to do an A/B with both subs. I felt that the Avalanche had a slight edge in the SQ dept and the Oz had a slight edge in the SPL dept. But thats probably because in that box, the Q was lower for the Avalanche than the Oz. They are both sweet subs.

Also, those Ozs are very conservatively rated. According to an Oz rep, they need quite a bit of power to really get them moving. The Avalanche can do more with less power.

the xxx wouldnt even compare in sq to the ozme's. from what ive heard. xxx's sound like pooh. and i tend to agree thinking of the setup i happened to hear.

ozme's are practically IDMax's. thats good stuff man.

my responses come from me--and i have owned Oz's and currently own XXX. The XXX has great sq and the Oz's only slightly better.
