Compact Handgun

Get a S&W M&P if you're already looking at that company. You should definitely be able to conceal a 3 or 3.5inch barrel

I did carry a Glock 19 for a while but it was just to large to hide under just a t shirt. So I bought a Springfield XDS9 and love it for carry in the summer.
Have heard great things about the XDS

Glock 43 is nice. glock 36 is also a single stack but 45acp. glock 30 is also a sub but little bit wider compared to the 36.

I'm finishing up my 4th 80% glock and they are nice guns and I've had zero issues so far with FTF.

I carry a Taurus Judge composite body for my compact ..
LMAO! a Taurus fan.. I say that as we dont seem to have many on other forums.. I also carry a Taurus 9MM, a PT111 Millennium Pro.I bought the pistol when i was 18, so 18 years ago. Put well over 10k rounds through it and the only time i ever had issues are when i was using cheap Wolf steel cased ammo. was always failure to feed. With brass, no problems. i also have a glock g43, but i hate the trigger, so it stays in the safe...

Every time i mention i prefer my Taurus for comfortability over my Glock people like to talk sh1t.. Fkn fanboys lol. i just use what works for me.

Completely forgot to give a shout out to the only Youtube dude im subscribed to.. Hickok45.

OP, might be worth adding "hickok45" in front of any gun your googling.. He shoots ALOT and gives fair reviews. Doesnt let you feel the grip, but gives you an idea on pros and cons on dam near every pistol out there! hes got a few holsters, shotguns, and rifle reviews aswell.

Heres his XDs review:

I carry a springfield xds45. It's pretty compact as far as 45's go. I bought a SCCY cpx2 to play with since they're dirt cheap. Honestly, if you upgrade the trigger (the stock trigger pull is a mile long) it's not a bad EDC for someone on a tight budget.

As far as Taurus, I've had 4 of them and never had many issues. Not sure why people hate on them so much. Sure, there are better firearms are out there, but the funcionality/reliability for the price is not bad. I carried a beretta M9 for 6 years and I had fewer problems from my taurus pt92 lol.

I was planning on a glock 43 but after seeing and holding the XDS I went with it instead. Im happy with my choice.

I had one a few years ago. It was a great little cheap 9mm but good god that trigger pull was insane.

I like the S&W K-Frame revolvers for pocket carry. Spend up into the Scandium frame models to chamber .357 S&W Magnum. You may or may not want to stick around to pick up brass if you ever have to defend your life against some miscreant and a revolver makes that a non-issue.

I had a bodyguard 380 hated it because it was very picky on what ammo it liked. I have about 350 rounds through my ruger lcp380 with no failure to feed to date but I prefer my airweight 38 to carry these days being back in St.Louis...

Springfield XDM .40 with 3.8" barrel, nice balance with the extended magazine. Walther PPQ 9mm. Both very nice.

Had a S&W SD .40 that was as tough as an AK but I couldn't get the grouping I wanted with it, even after after removing springs and polishing the trigger. I just anticipated way too much with it.

So I have a full size 9mm (S&W). Looking to get something compact that's easier concealed carry.
Narrowed it down to

S&W Bodyguard 380

Kahr P380

and

Ruger LCP II

Gonna go Wednesday on my day off to a couple gun shops and actually hold each of them to get a feel for them.

May tryout a Sig and a Glock as well

What does everyone carry?
The guns you’ve listed are technically sub-compacts FYI

lol...he's my go to vids for guns

My duty weapon is a glock 19, my off duty weapon is a glock 30. in the summer time, I have 10 round magazines, and I carry a spare 13 round mag. When it cools down to wear a light jacket, I put the 13 round mag in, and the spare is the 10 round one. I initially did not like glock, but after carrying one for 12 years on the job, I sold my 1911, and purchased the g30. I became very efficient with the g19, so I figured that I would utilize a glock for my EDC. You have the right idea to go to a shop that lets you try out a few different models, because if you are not comfortable with any particular weapon, you would not want to carry/use it.
